Home Remedies for Boils

If you are reading this you have probably had boils on skin at some point. Most people are susceptible to boils at some time. More so, if your immune system is weakened by antibiotics, medication or illnesses such as diabetes.

There are a few different types of boils such as furuncles, carbuncles, pilonidal cysts. Boils such as carbuncles are often founds on the hips and thighs, back of the neck and shoulders. These types of boils can be severe.

Why does this work in some cases? Because turmeric is quite a powerful spice, it is both anti-inflammatory and also a known blood purifier. (If you juice fresh vegetables, raw fresh beetroot is also a known blood purifier, so juice some vegetables along with apples and carrot to also aid in the healing process).

Turmeric can also cause constipation – so don’t take too much. But if boils are a problem try this home remedy for boils for a few days, you should see your boils diminished.   Visit your doctor as soon as possible if your boils cause a problem.

There is also an external boils application involving turmeric. Warm up a little yogurt and turmeric powder (equal parts) apply this ‘paste’ to the boil for a good 30 minutes plus – this should help the boil come to a head and burst. Make sure you wash it all off with a good anti bacterial soap to eliminate any infection.
